Man charged in murder of 6-month-old daughter

A man was charged Monday with capital murder of his 6-month-old daughter.

Josh Ryon Sissom , 23, is charged in the death of Miranda Sissom , who died Saturday at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital of blunt force trauma.

The baby's injuries apparently occurred at the family's apartment in the 1300 block of Redford. The father, arrested Saturday on an unrelated felony warrant, remained in the Harris County Jail on Monday night.
